IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University) runs two online degrees that we cover in detail: the IGNOU Online MBA and the IGNOU Online MCA. Both are 2-year postgraduate programs of 4 semesters, are delivered fully online through IGNOU's learning platform and are UGC-entitled. That means you can study from home and keep working.
Choose the IGNOU Online MBA if you want to move into management or grow in your current business role. Every MBA student takes the same core in the first year: management functions, HRM, business environment, accounting, quantitative analysis, marketing, managerial economics, strategic management and business laws. The later semesters add research methodology, a project and the electives of your specialization. There are four specializations: Financial Management, Human Resource Management, Marketing Management and Operations Management.
Choose the IGNOU Online MCA if you are aiming for a software or IT career. It covers algorithms, software engineering, networks, web technologies, data science, AI and machine learning, cloud computing and IoT, and ends with a fourth-semester project. You need a BCA or a computer-science degree, or a BSc/BA/BCom with mathematics at 10+2 or graduation level. Graduates without a computer-science background complete the bridge courses MCS-201 and MCS-208.
